This is an ongoing project developed during my fifth year (Part II) at the Architectural Association. Positioned between geology and thaumaturgy, the project explores the relationship between material formation, esoteric knowledge, and the act of wonder-making.
Drawing from the traditions of Scholars’ rocks appreciation and rockwork design in the Classical garden, the project investigates how landscape can operate as a psychoscape, a spatial construct shaped by perception, memory, and mental states. Central to the project is the translation of EEG brainwave signals into Taihu rock-like geometries. These forms are further developed into a therapeutic landscape/playground, structured as a sequential journey. Through the use of advanced model making technologies, I developed a 1:1 model using glazed ceramic and cast glass, designed as contemplative bridging objects for meditation.
